I'm so far behind....

Last March I went to the Cricut Stampede in Texas. I'm only just now posting some of the projects that I was able to complete then.

We went to St. George Island to stay the weekend with a cousin of my husbands and since we were at the beach anyway I decided to do a photo shoot. My daughters weren't into it but after a few "attitude adjusments" they finally cooperated. (attitude adjustment = mom guilt ;P )

I used Life's a Beach and Spongebob Squarepants but please don't ask me which cuts or what size because I just don't remember. The title was made using Gypsy Font (I think).

These are just two of my favorites from these pictures. My next post will have even more of my youngest daughter at the beach and then I will show you some of my oldest daughter. Thanks for visiting.

Circle Challenge....

The Circle blog is having a challenge for its one year anniversary. This challenge was to use any of the Circle exclusive carts in your project. I used Sophie to create this cute little card. Okay, so it's not so cute. It's rather plain. But I'm not a card maker, get over it. I also used Art Philosophy to make the "tag" in the center. It had a coordinating stamp that will go perfectly for the purpose of this card. I will be giving it to my hubby "just because" so you don't get to see the inside where the mushy stuff is.

Thanks for looking at my incredibly simple card.

Where have I been?

So I'm a terrible blogger. I don't think I'll ever get to the point where I will be a daily poster. But I have a great excuse. No really, I do! Back in the beginning of May my hubby asked me to move all my scrap stuff out of my scrap area so he can paint. Then he got sent to work on a wildfire out of town. For three weeks! Three! Weeks! Of course he didn't paint right away when he go back. Then right away he got sent to another state for training. For another week. So this is where all my scrap supplies were....

When hubby finally got home (to stay) and was rested he painted and I have been slowly, ssslllooowwwlllyyy, moving my stuff back into my area. Of course before I did that I had to put some new cabinets up and some track lighting. I still haven't gotten everything moved back in yet but when I do I will be sure to take a picture and share it. And I will get some new projects up very soon.

Thanks for reading and staying with me.

Forever Young Wall Art

Hello! I have another project for you. My daughter recently painted her room neon pink. Yes, you read that right. Neon PINK! It hurts my eyes but she loves it so that's okay. She's the one who has to live in it. Her "motif" is bright pink and zebra. So with that in mind I created this:

I really enjoyed making this and I will be making some more for her soon. I got an 8 x 10 canvas from Michaels and painted it lime(ish) green. I let it dry overnight. I cut this image from the Forever Young Cricut Cartridge, then used mod podge to glue it all down. I let that dry overnight then used a hot glue gun to attach a fabric flower. I broke off the prongs from a jeweled brad and hot glued that to the center of the flower. My daughter seems to like it and now my youngest daughter wants a picture for her room too!

Thanks for looking and as always any comments are welcome. Have a great week!

New Project (finally)!

I finally got a chance to craft again! School's out for now. I go back in two weeks for the summer semester but they are online classes so hopefully I will have more time to get in some crafting. Anyway, on to today's project. My husband asked me to make a birthday card for one of his co-workers. The guy is in a band so I knew this fox would be perfect! I cut him out at 3.25 inches from Birthday Bash. I embossed the background paper using the stars folder. On the flap of the envelope I used one of the small folders that came with my Cuttlebug then swiped some ink across it. I really like the way it came out.
I used some pop dots to give it dimension. I used two different kinds which made the guitar sit higher than I wanted but I still made it work. I attached the arm at the shoulder and let it rest over the guitar to make it look a little more "natural"

This is the inside of the card. I don't remember what size I cut this at. It is on the Phrase feature key of the fox.

I hope you liked today's card. As always comments are welcome and thanks for stopping by.
